bigmac 97kt 13,836
Would like your thoughts on this rifle please Its fitted with a walnut thumb hole stock I was at the rfd,s to day shouldering a few rifles when i came across this rifle the stock looks amazing and it feels right when shouldered The thing is i dont want to dish out a load of dosh on a new pro sport or 97 as im going to give 177 another go , And if it dont work this time you can all feck off with your 177,s I no i should stick to the pro sport or the 97 or tx but i like the look of this rifle just want your thoughts on it atvbmac  Quote Link to post
barrywhite 282
I have a webley omega not a very good gun nothing like the old mark 3 s it shoots ok but the trigger is very fragile . I have not used or or looked close at a long bow but all the webleys since the mark 3 and the old junior and premier pistols I have handled are not as good . The eclipse has the same trigger as the omega I have seen two other modern webleys break barrels they were poor . both my 97k and tx 200 are 177 they are excellent my tx 200 is a little low on power touching 11ft my 97 11.6 ft with the best possible pellet .If you get a break barrel and want it to be as accurate as fixed barrel??? if you want to see if a 177 97k or a tx is any good , get one . I am glad i got out off the 22 rut 177 in 12 ft is amazing . I got both my tx and 97 second hand both guns had had little use I think they both needed a few tins of pellets to get perfect ,I have a tx 200 mark 2 and it is still a little new feeling now today .I would not get a webley and expect it to be like tx or a 97k if you are , then you will be wasting your money . mark williams 7,568
If it helps Mac, Between pro sport, T Rex and 97 is the width of a hair but "gun fit" between the three is quite different (for me). I`m 17 st,( no belly ). have all the women chasing me (honest ) and the T Rex fits like a glove. Your a big strong boy too Mac , granted "not as handsome" but the T Rex fit might be for you. Pro sport is for a lesser build, skinny type - see what Rez says ? HW 97 is a if it fits - it fits commoners gun, ask VM. atb E.T. Edited October 11, 2015 by mark williams Quote Link to post
