talt 878
My dad bought me a Jack Russell from Melton Mowbray market for 50 pence. I spent hours ratting and ratching about with him, he caught the odd rabbit in cover and a few partridges but then my elder brother took him out and tried him at fox and he did really well so at weekends he was out foxing with my brother and his mates until my dad found out they had entered him under a concrete floor and stopped him from taking him again. Old Toby sired quite a few litters and lived to be 16 years old, and still caught a few rats in the corn driers even though he was nearly blind. Quote Link to post
