I clean an air rifle barrel once, when the rifle arrives, to get all the factory gunk out of it. Since there's no build-up of carbon deposits at the end of the chamber, like with powder-burners, then I find there's no need to clean them after that. Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,549 Posted September 13, 2015 Report Share Posted September 13, 2015 Asked my gunsmith this question, his reply was as above, when the gun arrives , clean that barrel thoroughly. As long as the rifle is perfectly accurate,with your chosen pellet brand, leave it alone "BUT" if you are trying and testing different pellets that`s a different matter. hope it helps any. 1 Quote Link to post

Robby762 3 Posted September 20, 2015 Report Share Posted September 20, 2015 As you shot your rifles your obviously acustomed to how it groups, if its fine keep going, and at the first sign of group size or accuracy drop pull it through. then after pull through fire approx 50 pellts to relead the barrel. then check Zero.
