Markknight89 6
Hello everyone, Saturday 5th September a day I will not forget! Earlier in the week I received a call from the gamekeeper where I go beating telling me that there has been a couple of hundred geese on the stubble field and invited me over to have a go at them. This was my first time decoying geese, the night before I must say I did not get any sleep I was like a little kid at Christmas. The next morning 5.30am sharp we are making our way to the field, we set the hides and decoy pattern up and wait to her that glorious sound of geese lifting from the river. The first two came in to the pattern and the keepers son dropped them both. After the shots there was geese lifting all over the place, a skein of 10 geese flew straight in to the pattern I shot 2 and was over the moon. The geese just kept coming and we had a brilliant couple of hours sport, as we were packing the decoys away they were still coming and we decide to with hold the temptation of carrying on so we can get another mornings sport this Saturday. We finished on 52 Canada geese and I must say it was one of the best mornings sport I have ever had.

stoggy 598
Well done on shooting a few. I take a barrow just in case you cannot get access with the 4x4. Makes taking them back to the transport a lot easier.

Markknight89 6
Was using Hull cartridges 32g 5 steel game 1/2 choke. We had a quad and trailer to bring them back just wished I had taken some photos. I have a friend that make sausages with them and a few friends and family had never ate it before so they were happy to and have asked me to get as many as I can to stock the freezer. Nice pic Leslie ?
