New Ferret Hutch...

Recommended Posts

Cheers BGD. She's my little best mate. I see every day as a blessing.

If we aren't out with the dogs, tending to the stinkers or watching a coursing DVD then we are out somewhere else causing mischief. Lol...

She's just learning to ride her bike...

Some of you might rembember the concrete block ferret enclosure I had in my garage. Some liked it, some didn't. Lol. It was about 6 foot by 4 foot.   I took it down when I had a run of bad luck, lo

Cheers fellas.   Stealthy - I only put it on the string to stop them dragging it around, but they seem to get more enjoyment out of using it as a punchbag. Lol. Must be good exercise too.   North

bit of 4inch plastic pipe cut a line down 1 side stretsh open and slip on the top,be like parkhurst yard, lol

Cheers fellas. Will bare them tips in mind. None of them have escaped yet.

Hi gaz the court looks sound mate. But I would recommend Turning your nest box upside down as the under side of the ferrets won't fair well scraping over the plastics lip a few dozen times a day. Cheers king.

I did think about that. I smoothed it off with a file so it wasn't sharp and then wondered about doing something else.

Then I thought, they are tough as old boots working ferrets, scraping over roots and rocks and getting kicked by rabbits and whatever else they come across.

I might turn the box upside down though for peace of mind.

Or get some rubber boot seal from a scrap car gaz. And place that on the plastic lip. It's the constant rubbing in exactely the same place time after time that will thin there under belly mate. Cheers king.
