Gaz_1989 9,539
Agreed, I'm sure a few novices would get better results with a strict plan. I was just generalising, if one of my mates wanted to start training with me and I gave them the diet in the first post I wouldn't expect to see them after the first week.. Slightly off topic but something me and my training partner are seeing time and time again, we train in a rough and ready gym on an industrial estate, half the lads in there have been inside and are a bit of a handful. They come in the gym start training and jump straight on the gear, get massive, strong and bloated, confidence goes through the roof start shouting the place down while lifting, then one day they disappear and you don't see them for six months... And when you do see them again they look like they have never been in a gym...Funny really.. Never understood that. Jumping straight on the juice. I've only been lifting seriously since May, was always into boxing and circuit training when I've trained before. But I wouldn't get on the gear until I was in half decent shape. Is that Tyson Fury wearing a strongstuff collar in your avatar? He's growing on me,where did you find the pic? Hahaha you comedian ?

Seen plenty of lads years ago doing the same, straight on the gear, usually without much concern for their diet and straight to the pub after training...IMO to do yourself any justice it has to become a wayof life, not all consuming every moment of the day,but you allways plan for the long game ,nutrition/rest/training become part of your day to day routine.Too many weekend warriors hammering the juice, minimal effort and expect instant results
DogFox123 1,379
Just done my first day on MyFitnessPal, my total calories for the day should be 3,776. I've had 4,069, trouble is I'm short on my protein by 94g and 77g short on my carbs. I've gone over my fat intake by 68g which is a massive amount, I've also gone over my sugar intake by 38g. I can see hitting my macros and getting my calories about spot on being harder than winning the lotto.

You can tweak everything else as you settle into it. Try to keep sugars around your workout.
