Can A Hw 100 In .22

Can a hw100 in .22 take down rabbits at the same distance as a .177 and what are the pro's and con's of the long rifle and the short version ?.

How many more times have we got to tell you , both cals will do the same job and the only difference is weight between the k and full length and more shots

Ditto to VM firstly .

If it helps you any VW i much prefer carbine as i like to make and use hides as much as possible and it is much easier to handle the shorter version in cramped areas.

I have shot a pigion @65 yards head shot with my .22 witnessed , i quit often shoot rabbitts at 55+ yards as well

And the full length gets you about two inch,s closer to your target than a carbine

 

and a better shot count

I'm sure VM will put you right on k/e , and 177 shooters are more than capable of matching the .22 boys lol,

Saturday morning debate by David Dimberley Evans eh ?

I`m in the same boat as VM lads - i too use both and both short rifles to boot (hides).

My preference as you know is .177 as it allows me to thread shots through spindle and such like. If i am shooting open areas the HW 100 ks .22 is a devastatingly accurate rifle but i do practice my milldots on a regular basis.

So it`s each to their own i suppose but a nudge to .177 for night shooting especially (but that`s just me).
