jonnie bravo 572
Headed out last night with a top lad from the range who offered to take me out on some of his land. It was one of those warm muggy nights, lovely to be out not great with a jacket on though lol! We spooked plenty of rabbits on the way in to the perm. We parked up and set about with the lamp. We were using his impact airguns gsx600 in .22 flavour- these are the guys that have taken over from theoben I believe? Either way the stock was awesome. He let me have the first couple of shots, a couple of misses over there heads first and then nailed one. No flinches, it just sat down and stopped, brilliant. We struggled to find good fields as the grass was long in most, but we spotted some in the first field and he bagged another one. Great night out good craic and inherited plenty of knowledge and experience what a top bloke. Now to look a bit harder to secure some of my own permission I think. Cheers 1 Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
Nice one sounds like you enjoyed the evening, a tip, when you go asking for permission, dont mention air rifle, just ask for shooting, a lot of farmers (wrongly) think of airguns as toys, you will get a better reception (usually) if you just ask to shoot some rabbits, good luck. 2 Quote Link to post
