Block Paving Colouring

I've asked on DIY section..but failed to get answer.

My block paving is in need of a spruce up..apart from the moss and weeds growing up through the gaps etc etc..

It needs jet washing off and re-sanding and then sealing again etc etc..

I want it to look more like the grey/black printed concrete I've seen lately..instead of light brown and beige...lol

Could I Colour it Dark ?

Maybe chuck a load of black engine oil all over it all and rub it into blocks then wash muck off and re-seal it ?...My thinking being..why not embrace the filthy oil drips from the vehicles and just go with it all over...Its hard enough to remove with all the will in the world and a jet washer plus and array of chemicals..lol.

Or Maybe Concrete Mortar Dye ? in Black ? Could I Mix it up with Water paint a load on the blocking -rinse-then re-seal ? Or maybe add it to the sealer ?

What type of sealer would suite that best ?

Would it also colour those concrete kick boards and posts for the fencing panels ?

Vin the colour in blocks and concrete colour is put in during the mixing Mate and I can't think of any thing that will change the colour permanently ..

Sanding ? ...not concrete blocks ..

Dirty engine oil spread all over the drive then washed and sealed ........Have the drive relaid before you do this , it will save you hours of work and aggro with the same result ...

I would use a good weed killer , leave it a couple of weeks to work , clean out , jet wash , re sand with kiln dried sand , then reseal ...

The colour it is mate is the colour it is ..Never heard of anything that would change it other than paint ..

I agree, by the sounds of it once you give it a good clean remove the weeds and re-sand and re-seal it it will look 100 times better than it does now.

Trying to change the colour it's the a choice I would be making you could make it look a mess if it goes wrong and have to pay to re-lay the whole drive......
