morton 5,368
Well did a bit of traveling yesterday for my lads grading.. Now a orange...carnt beat it..I could watch him for hours training. Spent years with my son and daughter, travelled miles and watched and supported them, some of my happiest and proudest moments in their young lives, daughter finally attained junior Black belt and son Brown,he hated the gradings and never put the effort in,yet always came out with a competition medal.Alas they reached their teens and kicked it into touch,i wished they may have carried on or got back into it,enjoy the moment,i did. sussex 5,802
tb , this is my son & grandson , he's just coming on twelve and is on his second brown , hopefully he will get his junior black around Christmas .The confidence it's given him unbelievable , obviously my son (his uncle ) has brought him on with a lot of home tuition , but never where he is under pressure to train .It seems like now the more he achieves the more he wants to ..I wish your lad the best & hope he goes the whole way ... It's funny since he started the new school three of his mates have taken it up and one of the dads as well . My son also started a girls self defence class , started with 4 or 5 girls , now it's up to 19 ...seems lots of the parents are more keen on the girls doing it than the boys !
