Weihrauch 90 Help Please

Recommended Posts

Hello All, i need some advice on my air rifle which i have just managed to get back from a long term loan, about 5yrs.

When i got the rifle home it was cocked with no pellet in it and when i pulled the trigger to uncock it it sounded weak cocked it again and fired and its like a powderpuff.

My question is, if this rifle has been left cocked for a long time is it knackered and can i rebuild it?i know it is the one with the theoben system in it not the conventional spring type.

any help would be appreciated,i am not an airgunner as you probably have guessed.

ps. have not tried the rifle with a pellet in as i don't have any yet.

Hello, yes i think it can be re gassed or pumped up to pressure,i have done a bit of a search on it and it looks like a case of rebuilding the theoben gas strut?

I will try Blackpool airguns for the bits to repair cheers.

Chances are the gas ram has lost all it's air. You need to find someone with the appropriate pump & fittings to try & re-gas it. It may also need the gas ram re-sealing if it won't hold it's air. Given that your not confident in doing it yourself, I would consider taking it to a gunshop who will be able to do it for you. Or as you are not an airgunner, consider selling it on as a faulty rifle, lots of tinkerer's out there who would probably buy it as is.
