Rimfireboy! 1,463
It's surprising what those little .17's will do. Quote Link to post
maktayla 50
Well done Cedric...Nothing wrong with sharing the pics. Something different (-: It is a great little round the .17HMR. Was it 17 or 20 grain round? I haven't had the pleasure of shooting a .22 Hornet though. Thought I would be daft as well and share a little photo of a shot I took at 150yds with my .22-250 (Norma 50gr polymer tipped) It went through 1" of wood, into the 45 gallon drum, out the back and punched a hole in the bracket which was around 4-5mm thick. 1 Quote Link to post
riflehunter583 58
would not like to be on the end of that at 150y. what velocity is it running at Quote Link to post
Cedric 132
That 22-250 does some serious damage. It's easy to forget just how powerful some of these rifles we shoot really are. I've just sold the Hornet as I didn't need quite that much gun ! Quote Link to post
riflehunter583 58
I have a 223 and with a full charge its very powerful. I'm always mindful of the danger and responsibility. once the trigger is pulled there is no rewind button like on sky or u tube! Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
.243 will go through 1/2" thick steel at 150 yards, which out of interest is around the same thickness as the armour on a first world war tank 1 Quote Link to post
maktayla 50
I think its a good reminder of how important a good back stop is. 2 Quote Link to post
