Rabbiting With My Terrier.

I know many of you purists won't like this but I'd like advice on starting up teaching my Jack to rabbit and rat. I live in the north west.

Show it rabbits and rats tell it good boy every time he tries to catch one easy as that really or get a dead one and play with it with him

I let my earth workers chase rabbits and rats and all i've ever done is come down hard on them if they try to go down rabbit holes even if theyve just chased one down they don't try to follow it to much and just a call from me brings them away everytime ,will add they mark a rat a whole lot harder and it takes a little more to get them away from a hot mark from a rat.It'd be a lot of time spent sat in a kennel run bored if i didn't hunt other things with my terriers and as they only got me to please then i'm happy with the way i do things

Show it them :-) soon cotton on itself, let it use its nose, and work away itself.

if you have any permission I will gladly show you my terriers bunny or rat bashing,these will soon get your terrier smashing the cover and marking holes,where in the north west are you ?? WM

Thanks for the advice. I live near Bolton, I have no permission yet but there are plenty of farms were I live. Here is a picture of the dog for what it's worth. Cheers.

I've not seen one like him anywhere. Think he's a bit of a throwback as he looks nothing like the mother or father dog. Thanks for the advice and comments.

buy a locator system and get him out around the farms. you might get the odd rat as well in around the buildings but remember stock training is important this time of year.especially. .
