neems 2,406
Is it now safe to say the RSPCA is a political organisation? it has political goals. if so then they should be banned from wearing uniforms, shouldnt they? especially ones with military style ranks displayed on their shoulders. i think they're getting more extreme and political all the time so if they dont qualify as a political group yet they will soon, does anyone know if theyve been challenged about this?
J_Edwards 70
My grandma has donated money to them for decades. Then last year she had a knock on the door from them, and they said that because she is a loyal patron, would she be willing to increase her donation amount. The cheek! Talk about looking a gift horse in the mouth.
reaper6 84
If they turn up on a job wearing shorts and sandles..... it would not look very proffesional
neems 2,406
If they turn up on a job wearing shorts and sandles..... it would not look very proffesional theyre not even qualified to look after animals let alone professionals. theyd get less respect from joe public, less pets taken from owners, less prosecutions and ultimately raise less funds. and we wouldnt want that would we?
blackmaggie 3,377
i would rather donate to isis than them cnuts and i would just shut the door if they would ever knock and except no caution lying c**ts need to educate themselves on animal welfare and most of the working dogs i see are fed a better diet and are out daily unlike the fat lab brigade that get left and the dogs that got returned to me were full of fleas and had kennel cough and lost a load of weight after a illegal raid just sorry i was going through a divorce otherwise i would of took i further

Talk about looking a gift horse in the mouth. Its a commonly accepted tactic among professional fundraisers. http://terriermandotcom.blogspot.co.uk/2007/11/direct-mail-economics-of-humane.html http://terriermandotcom.blogspot.co.uk/2014/08/the-fundraising-scam-that-is-rspca.html
bobcullen79 1,495
More and more people must be giving them the swerve as they seem to have changed their newest appeal animal, no longer cats and dogs are used to tug on the heart strings, now they are going after the fly grazed horses claiming they are all on deaths door. Only the three on screen on the news report looked fit and healthy. I`m guessing bigger animals means bigger bucks as we all know horses are not cheap to keep properly. And if they destroy more than they re-home, like they do with the cats and dogs, they will be quids in.

J_Edwards 70
Far be it from me to slag-off charities, but some of them aren't all as nice as the seem. I remember my grandad saying that he worked on a new building in London, that belonged to a large British charity. He said that no expense was spared, and that everything was massively over-engineered. The executives were rolling up in their Mercedes, and going out for lunch to London restaurants. These people were working for a charity and they were acting like the Wolf of Wall Street.

navman 126
Lovely bit of sport this afternoon, just having a brew after getting home from work, sitting in my armchair, who should walk up the driveway, RSPCA fundraiser with a blue tabard on, game on ! Jumped up met him as he knocked on door, usual intro do you own an pet etc, my answer, "yes" Refused to elaborate any further then informing him about the amount of thefts recently and not wishing to disclose any details, he was taken back with my answers, threw him off his usual doorstep conversation ! Let him carry on asked him a few simple questions, he was very vague, didn't know a great deal other than what he'd been told to say and he wasn't expexting a conversation like he received!! He wanted to back away but I kept him in dialogue and gave him a few home truths about the so called charity, had to laugh when i asked him who Gavin Grant was, he didn't know, more pain for him then we got onto the subject of money waisting, fighting the hunting ban, wasted subscriptions on court cases etc, he really wanted to back away but I kept on to him, great sport, poor thing he was out of his depth, didn't even know the breed of dog in the picture on his card, half starved with ribs exposed, it was a Weimaraner, that got us on to the tail docking ban, he knew nothing about that either. Eventually I let him retreat, knowing he wasn't getting any of my money and that not everyone in this suburban area Is wishy washy about the cover story of fighting animal cruelty like he has been told to portray, very enjoyable getting my point of view across, hope he goes back and relates the pain he was given, rabbit in the headlights comes to mind !!

I often wonder what would happen if you saw them entering your property and released a guard dog and they got bitten poetic justice
