Zilverhaze 1,627
went to see a hunter this afternoon who got 5 new earths for me to work so loaded the dogs in and went down with my pal who is introducing us and he was off fishing lol so dropped my pal off and on way home decided to try a earth I dug a few weeks ago with a double yolker in @ 1.5 plan was just a quick one checked the first 5 or 6 holes on the earth and dog said no then marked a real flat place on the top of the bank I thought lovley shuld be shallow this after going round and round and round for at least 2 n half hours I got a steady mark of 2 -2.2 so as it was getting late and light was fading in the woods I got stuck in I made good progress but really started to struggle when it went dark i was using the torch on my phone and neglected the sides finally Broke threw @ 9.30 was my own fault really for making a icecream cone of it. the last 0.8 took for ever the dog done well tho another decent performance altho I did notice he was moving back and forwards in the tube. as it was happening I was thinking don't dont do this to me lol but he always come back to the mark and made contact again but now I had a think I think the quarry was digging on/in and he was trying to follow clearing the tube of sand maybe ther was 2 in again I don't no soon as I broke threw I lifted my dog and went home dident even check the quarry or back fill will go back tomorrow and sort something i will keep a eye on next time out gona try and leave off for abit now till the frost comes Peace out guys good luck with the season 4 Quote Link to post
