FERRETBOY 680
I would just like to show you guys how well Flys foot has healed in only 3 weeks. We still don't know how the injury was caused but it doesn't matter as long as shes on the mend. The vets couldn't do a great deal with it apart from keeping it clean and applying a steroid cream to help the skin tissue to re grow. She was on antibiotics and anti inflammatory for just over a week. Into her second week she had forgot all about the pain and was trying to play fight with my pup which I restricted her from doing. Shouldnt be long now for the bandages to come off and we start road walking again. From this To this good hunting rew 1 Quote Link to post

Fieldsporthunter 1,864
Me personally would leave dressings off and let air at it. I would also clean every day with a 50/50 solution of hydrogen peroxide. You will be amazed at how fast it will heal. Looks very well and healing good. Quote Link to post
FERRETBOY 680
I thought the same about letting air to it but going to keep the bandage on for another week or so . Prevent her knocking it causing damage to it. It bleeds easily you see and plus I don't want it getting dirty. 1 Quote Link to post

By removing the bandaged the wound will drie out and the healing process will be much quicker. The hydrogen peroxide is £1 a bottle from the chemist I squirt it on with a syringe, as it makes contact with the skin it will foam up and lift dirt from wound while killing germs. You will be amazed at how fast that wound will heal. 1 Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
I agree about leaving the bandage off. Looks like it needs some air to it. I aren't a vet though so follow your vets advice. Glad you got her to a vet in the end. Could of ended up a right mess. Quote Link to post
