Grandson Just Set Kitchen On Fire

Recommended Posts

As kid I had a trainset with a transformer, ran on 12 volts I think (50 years ago!) well being inventive and a bit naïve I thought that if I connected said trainset direct to the mains it would go a fair bit faster, now this was before rcds and suchlike, in fact knowing my dad he probably had fence wire in the fuses! So 2 lengths of wire in the relevant sockets with the other ends poked in the track and flick the switch.

Almighty frigging bang, the train took off across the bedroom in a cloud of smoke, the track lit up glowing red and the lino caught fire. Trying to explain that away wasn't easy!

my wife does that every other day lol
 least it's her grill though. If she set a blaze on someone's else I'd love to see her expression. The old gut wrench when you know your f***ed
