Chicken_man 1,651
Wow lads, sounds like a blast from the past. Used to use County super six ofor hauling timber out, and a Roadless with double drum winch on. Mi first saw was a husky 266, brand new when I got it. Walked up the town with it every day for work, thought I was great :-) Hard work now eh :-)

I remember once putting the chokers on a steep bank I had me head down and busy when I heard people yelling. Some thing told me not to look but just run and when I got to the track edge I just lept off with out stopping as a big cut off wizzed by me ear. If I had stopped for a second to see what people were shouting about it would been game over lol. Another time I got a tree hung up and thought I would come back to it but of course forgot about it and cut the tree holding it up as you do. I got smacked on me helmet and sent flying back wards down the slope with this tree on top of me worst bit was it had pinned te saw bout an inch from me face and I couldn't get me fingers off the throttle so it was blasting away plus I was pretty stunned. But finally got me finger off the throttle and me mate cut the tree off me he found it rather funny the b*****d. One poor sod lost his arm on the pto of a winch cause it didnt have a guard on that was the end of that gang and luckily I wasn't there to see it. Another had a kick back in his face he was right mess. When they drove him out we were had all the peeling gear set up in the road right panic getting it all out the way. Some bloke had a hardwood split and caught him between the legs he was like john wayne for months. But yea a 101 ways to get caught out lol

Rake aboot 4,936
Just managed to get Stihl bibs for £70 brand new ! Use two Stihls, and would only really put decent oil through them tbh. Would be to worried thin oil would kill the chain quicker.
