risingfriend 1,042
Love the 97 not keen on the synthetic stock or thumbhole version they look the dogs danglies but i prefer the thumb up position from a sporter stock i had a stock made for mine in the end best of both worlds Give it time mate the weight will seem less once she is stacking pellets and a good sling and studs should help in the field 3 Quote Link to post

bigmac 97kt 13,828
Got her scoped up today and I'm not sure?? Bit different from the light guns I'm used to Give her time bud , loved mine at the range but not in the field but it was that fecking big thumb hole every time Get your magic on her and she will be fine and smooth as with next to no recoil and if its new Matty you will have to get rid of the factory shit any way so would be sacrilege not to give her a tune and polish atvbmac  1 Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,568
Hi Matty I had an inkling you would go 177 . With the weight of a 97 on shooting sticks and well tuned i would imagine that rifle would be awesome in good hands. Good luck with it mate. 1 Quote Link to post

mattybugeye 885
Well had a few hours on my 97 tonight as putting through chrono and was doing almost 13 ft lbs so stripped it down and mainly did de greasing and polishing of internals Re lubed using the usual removing 2 piston weights and 1st 3 shots through chrono was 11.15 11.15 and 11.19 that will do me lol Was happy to see the internals in much better condition than other new hws I've bought spring was nicely seated just the usual nasty sticky grease Think il shoot here as is for now and maybe a tbt drop in kit next and leave it at that for while make sure I get on with it Busy day in the rifles today lol Quote Link to post
