bill88 6
Out again last thing yesterday with the ferts,or should i say "killer ferts" We ended up with three for the pot,but we had to work for them.Three bloody times the ferts killed to ground! I'd expect one or two now and again but three the same day? We tried the hob first, only down seconds and we could here the rabbit sqealing. We hoped it would get away from him and bolt but no,after 10 mins it was out with the spade.Just started to break through, and the little s***e pops out a hole 10 feet away! No worries the rabbit was exactly where we'd marked him with the locator. Checked the hob,and he'd got a whack on the neck, looked quite messy, but after washing a spraying it,it was just a nick. We put the collar on the jill, and gave her a go,here we go again! Quick dig,and we see the rabbits back legs.Out comes the rabbit with jill attached. Had a quick breather and tried another bury.Put the jill down again, and third time unlucky,i'm out with the spade again.Marked her at 3 foot, and ten minutes later out comes bunney number three. Guest hunterside
good 1 dude, do you use bells on collars often ? Quote Link to post
bullet 136
two reasons i can think of why you have to dig is, ferret needs feeding before you go out and second one is noise level, if the bunnies hear alot of noise about them they will be harder to bolt. other than that it should be plain sailing mate Quote Link to post

bill88 6
good 1 dude, do you use bells on collars often ? Always use the hawk bell on the collar.Absolute business when your working in heavy cover, saves you losing a fert. Quote Link to post
IanB 0
Bill my hobs a nightmare if you don't like digging, he bolts a few but more of often than not he kills in within minutes...Doesn't really bother me as I don't mind a nice shallow dig... Quote Link to post
