brambles 3,411
We were the same last night a couple of rabbits carrying well developed young and while ferreting on Sunday we had a few which I would have said were 1/2 to 3/4 grown, just goes to show the winters are definitely not what they used to be Quote Link to post
Lenmcharristar 10,385
Bloody hell they're not breeding to a season now, just like rats, shagging all year round Quote Link to post

Lenmcharristar 10,385
Be interesting to see if foxes/badgers change their breeding seasons too, as they only breed once a year to coincide with the breeding season of their prey. Quote Link to post
Tozer 385
They do seem to be dropping them early, I wouldn't have thought badgers/foxes would change as quickly, rabbits are much more opportunistic, Edited January 4, 2015 by Tozer Quote Link to post

Tozer 385
I have only been shooting/hunting since 2000 really. But I always expect to see young rabbits about the end of February if we get that first bit of warm sun as the days creep longer. Definitely come march here in the Midlands. It might be different elsewhere round here higher up. Edited January 4, 2015 by Tozer Quote Link to post
