bunny tickler 876 Posted December 5, 2014 Report Share Posted December 5, 2014 my friend said he had a farmer asking for someone to ferret his land as he has hunting horses there & earlier on in the year ones leg was broken after falling into a bunny hole , i went for a recce ,there was lots of well used runs lots of warrens (no signs of any ferreting digs ) but it didnt just feel right , the farmers brother walked round with me , i said i think the rabbits have been took either at night by longnets or lamping , he said no theres rabbits everywhere , so off me & my buddy went next day , 6 big warrens & a lot of net setting 4 hrs not a bloody rabbit to be seen ,i was doubting my ferrets by then ? i thought to myself this lands been cleared & hes useing us to mop up , either way after 6 hrs managed 4 bunnies all singles in big warrens , then farmer number 2 appears in his shiny new range rover ,, i bet you havnt had much have you lads he spoke , no i said this lands been hammered ,yes we shot 200 in one night a few weeks ago & ive had a lad on every sunday ferreting lol funny old game isnt it call antime you want he said err no thank you Quote Link to post
