Tozer 385
I was thinking about this today, and what I can do to make it happen. I worry if I put an idea forwards in defence it will lead to a step backwards. I.e. I can hunt rabbit but not rabbit... ban rabbit hunting...
Born Hunter 17,974
Tell me how exactly the conservatives are to overturn the hunting act in our parliamentary system? Bearing in mind that we, the electorate, failed to give them a majority government.
beast 1,884
i think the conservatives promised a free vote if they were in government - they are not in government, there is a conservative/libdem coalition, which is very different. to be honest, the worst thing which could have happened is for a free vote in this parliament because we would have lost. and there will only be one shot at this. we need a conservative majority to make a free vote worthwhile, and even then i fear it could be very close.
