I believe Deker it's currently:

Savage (B-Mag): http://www.savagearms.com/bmag

(Interestingly this guy has a different opinion to Gazjon's friend, saying it's more accurate than he can shoot to: http://www.ambulancedriverfiles.com/2014/04/25/gun-review-17-wsm-savage-b-mag/)

Volquartson (no knowledge of them but they appear to make top end rifles including a .17 WSM semi auto :bye: :https://www.volquartsen.com/products/1164-17-wsm-semi-auto-rifle

Franklin Armoury AR 15 :bye: in 17. WSM: http://www.franklinarmory.com/PRODUCTS-F-17-WSM-SEMI-AUTO-RIFLE.html

Winchester Model 1885 :http://www.winchesterguns.com/products/catalog/detail.asp?mid=524100&family=002C

That's it in so far as the results my searches pulled up.

It's a rimfire, the chances of anyone being able to set up a reloading facility are remote in the extreme!

He reeled you right in there Deker!

Well lets look at it this way, to propel a 100grain bullet from a .243 for instance takes (at max charge and obviously depending on powder used) about 39-40 grains of powder, to do the same with a 58 grain bullet takes roughly 45-47 grains of powder, based on using H414 powder, also think in these terms, take two identical air rifles one in .177 and one in .22. both producing the legal limit of 12ftlbs, now swap the barrels over, the .22 will now in all probability be over the legal limit, the .177 well below, this is because it takes more air/spring power to drive the smaller calibre to the same energy level as the larger .22, if fitting a gas ram into an air rifle, the manufacturers state "a .177 gas ram must not be fitted into a .22 rifle as it will take the rifle over the legal limit" yes they would have to reduce the powder load for a .20 or .22 bullet, as using the same charge for a .17 bullet would result in over pressure loads, hence the lower downrange velocity.

Ultimately I don't know.

But the .17 WSM 20gr has 400ft lbs energy and the 25gr 375ft lbs. That suggests to me either a charge reduction or maybe a longer barrel is needed!
