Need Some permission

Recommended Posts

hi everyone, i'm looking for some hunting permission for Ferreting and air rifle(after being let down numerous times :wallbash::doh: ) in the swadlincote/burton on trent/hartsorn area. about a 10 mile radius but any reasonable sugestions. I am 16, listen and obey well, respectful  (NOT YOUR STEREOTYPED 16 YR OLD!) permission preferably sport orientated but pest control is fine also. any suggestions at all would be great to be honest, even as a hunting/ferreting partner?!

thanks to all

To be honest at our age (im 17), it is very hard to get any half decent permission. I can suggest start beating and helping out a keeper and hope something comes from that

Put the word around too, you might have a mate who knows someone who knows a land owner etc.

Another good thing to try is type in "horse livery yards" and your location in on google an it should come up with a big list of them with email addresses. Just knock up a short polite email stating what you want and send it round to as many as you can.

Throw any ideas of air rifle permission out the window  Unfortunatly no land owner will trust a teenager on there land with a gun. Start with ferreting permission then if you do a decent job you never know shooting permission could follow

Good luck with it,

Same around here. thing is they don't even want to let you on to do a bit a ferreting or ratting. As for the keeper idea if you don't know one already likelihood is he won't want ye. None does nothing for nothing and if you just approach him and say "i want to help you out, do all the hard work all for nothing in return" hes going to know your after something. I wouldn't mind helping a keeper out because you would learn a lot from him but it doesn't end with permission. After been told no on at least 100 farms its much easier at our age to poach. Be seclusive and you won't get caught.

Carry on like that and not only will you have no permission, but the other fellow sportsmen (you aint included in that same sentence) that actually respect the land and those who own it, will be stringing you up to the nearest tree AND rightly so....
