Went out today

went out for 4 hours with the ferrets [frezzing cold] ferreted 3 sets only got 2 rabbits

but lost 1 so i am off but still it whas a bit of fun for the morning

 

i think that mixy has killed most of the rabbit around me so i think its time to get on my bike

and start looking for some more land to ferret on.

seems theres a lot of mixy about this year shame really horible thing it is lot of our permission has been effected,not to bad today though 8 rabbits from three berries any one else's permission effected with it??

went a few hours yesterday got four rabbits it was like the killing fields rabbits just sitting there in the open dogs running everywere killing rabbits never seen anythink like it before this place his cut off from every were so hows mixiey got there if mixiey only infects thought fleas in all my years never seen this ...john

i went out early this morning to do a couple of sets, ended up with 5 in total, 4 adults & 1 baby. and one of the does was pregnant with 4 in her, so its an added bonus.

Was out yesterday for a while ferreting with my dad and his lurcher. Got 3 really healthy ones and 2 starting to get signs of mixi, but they still bolted and ran well so they were just starting to get it. But there were a couple of dead rabbits lying around and we had some mixi ones here a few weeks ago.

 

On the way back up the lane we stopped the car and I got out and necked one that was wandering around blind. Poor thing, pussy mangled up jaw, no meat on it etc. I reckon all my permission in the vicinity (i.e. across the lane ) will be fecked soon.

TOOK MY 6 YEAR OLD OUT FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS MORNING ONLY NETTED ONE SET OF BURROWS BUT GOT TWO AND HE WAS HIGHLY DELIGHTED, DID'NT STAY OUT LONG AS HE WAS GETTING TIRED BUT AT LEAST NOW HE'S GOT A LOOK AT IT HE CAN'T WAIT UNTIL NEXT TIME WE GO OUT.

this mixi is spreading like wild fire, but as ive said in previous posts, i dont mind mixi, the only down side i see with it is when the coney suffer from its effects, but it does make my work alot easier.

i went out today some feckin twat had been round day before me , so i walked miles to get 4 . after getting ready with it being frosty though i was in for a great day , no frost this morning was in my tshirt just after 10 was warm .................. iam not happy

went out sunday with a few of the lads got 30!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no need to rub it in, pics will be up soon though, we have a brilliant day!

no mixy by me but very few rabbits. i know a place were there are 300 plus rabbits and not a drop of mixy me think a hunting trip is on the way. killing spree ahoy
