Anyone Fished At Trevone, Cornwall?

Recommended Posts

I shall be in Trevone (near Padstow) for a few days next week and plan to do some fishing.

Though I've fished nearly all my life it's been almost exclusively fresh water fishing and I know next to nothing about sea fishing. I'm planning to spin from the rocks an hour or so either side of low tide. Does that sound like the best bet? Anybody know the area who can recommend spots/tactics? I'm hoping to pick up a bass or two...

Cheers.

That would be the safest bet ever D. Sorry about the random text the other day. I was going to fetch some stuff for the auction up to yours but was waiting for a part for the van. :censored: Keep that wooden spoon polished up i may be relieving you of ownership of it next year :toast:

Pop into Padstow angling, they're good guys and will help.

Only fished it once myself but we had rays and smutts

I have fished there many times, I've found it best in the late autumn into winter, had a few schoolies out, but very small and not until June onwards.  Never had mackerel there  but get out on a headland either side nay onwards you can pick up one or two,  unfortunately it's nothing like it used to be.
