cocpops 19
The Cubs are now out hunting on their own and often in groups, a squeak will pull them in from a fair distance. If you remain in cover after dropping the 1st one you should manage another. Great time for thinning them out. On permissions with few rabbits to shoot these can clean them out altogether by killing all the young rabbits.

mackay 3,676
Spent a good hour watching a litter of cubs playing outside a den a couple of nights ago. Must make a mental note to go back and shoot them.
South hams hunter 8,996
Not the best advice to put on a site made up of all nearly dog lads with respect for game and seasons
air gun ant 1,666
Not the best advice to put on a site made up of all nearly dog lads with respect for game and seasonswhy not tho? It's a hunting site that covers all forms of hunting wether it be with dogs, guns or traps? There is no season for foxes other than self imposed seasons and that's all that is, SELF IMPOSED. The lads doing nothing wrong, and if that's what his land owners want From him then that's what he has to do and that's also what most people "with permission" would do. South hams hunter 8,996
Why not put it in the gun section then?
South hams hunter 8,996
In regard to permission aswell, it wasn't needed for foxes til this f***ing ban
air gun ant 1,666
How was it not needed till the ban? I wasn't aware of that?
air gun ant 1,666
And yes it could be in gun section I agree, but you referred to it being on the site? Like it was a dogs only site or something.
South hams hunter 8,996
Because it was free pest control with dogs, perhaps asked to leave for trespass but that's onl the civil matter
air gun ant 1,666
So permission was always required! Just as it is now lol sorry SHH I enjoy your conribution to the forum and agree with your content most of the time but on this occasion, I'm afraid your talking shite
South hams hunter 8,996
it wasnt ant as all they could do was ask you nicely to leave but lets look at the irony of the self imposed seasons. lurcher lads using self imposed seasons to ensure that there quarry was at its best when they came to hunt it and then we have shooters killing all the young and easy foxes so there legally imposed season of shooting a domestic bird isnt harmed by a predator killing one of the dumbest birds ever beaten only by the dodo
