what the f**ck has that got to do with being a judge of a lurcher to be fair he,s keeping lurchers for years and id imagine he,s being asked to judge by the organisers so whats the problem you obvious

Travelled over from Wales for this one, show was very good, welcome was amazing, and the weekend was one to remember

Few of us came over to the show, had a great welcome and a good day at the show, the burger van done a mean 1/2 pounder and cheap too so was well happy, pubs were great but you boys need to start dri

The organisers of these shows should pick decent judges no wonders the lurcher men aren't going to these shows when they haven't got experience judge example lurcher Ireland's show I'll say no more as mister Dalton can't handle the truth AND A CORK MAN DID WIN ON SUNDAY MR DALTON IS FOND OF PICKING HIS OWN

its plain o see jim there annoyed to see such a genuine judge on the scene and its just been admitted that you have judged his or her dogs , so they are upset that there not in finals , the same people yr in yr out been picked by there buddys to secure a bag of food or rosette most of these judges are organised preshow and scratch each others backs , that is not a show in my eyes that's a click everyone knows your no dealer , this is people behaveing like spoilt brats and expecting to be picked at every show , wink wink , nudge nudge even up my side the shows are the same thing youll never get a look in its the same lords of the ring all the time and us fulltime lampers don't see a thing , but the difference is I don't get upset cause I know what leads the genuine dogs are on , I call them the mutt mafia lol your dogs are class and your judgeing is honest , well done bud

The Keep er Lit Dog Show and Raceday Sunday 20th July 2025
Doagh Equestrian is situated on the beautiful Antrim coast in the village of Doagh, Co Antrim. This was a new venue for the “Keep er Lit” Dog show and Race day and the ideal spot for   last Sundays Show.
From early morning, cars and trailers arrived from North and South of the border. Some people came as far away as Limerick and Drogheda with families and dogs in tow. Our good canine folk love a good dog show in the summer and a chat with like minded people. They certainly were not disappointed at the Keep er Lit show.
As the show progressed, so did the banter and the craic. The rings were well spaced out with a good long race track. Paul Boyd was there with his country sports stand, with everything needed in the hunting fraternity.
Some very tasty burgers were available on site and an Equestrian shop with great discounts on offer on the day. I had to take control of my retail therapy when I got into that shop, as I was like a child in a toy shop with to much to choose from.
The weather was glorious all day and at times to warm. As usual the raffle generated a great buzz around the field with some great prizes on offer.
The show started with the racing first at approximately 12.30
Here are the Racing and Showing Results

      Congratulations to all above winners.
And Finally, may I take this opportunity to thank the judges and their ring stewards on the day,on behalf of the Keep er Lit Team for a job well done.
Strong Dog Judge : Gareth Barnett
      Lurcher Judge       : Gerard Melaugh
      Whippet Judge      : Colin Maguire
      Terrier Judge         : Martin Breen
      Pets Judge             : Gail Ross
Judging is not an easy job, but you were consistent and fair, and very successful with the end product.
The racing was carried out as usual to perfection by The Mc Grath Racing Club Carlow. These people have many years experience in the Canine world both in showing and racing and their input helps to alleviate the pressure on the show organizer on the day. A job well done Biddy and team.
Some lovely photographs were taken on the day by various people, and no doubt these will be up on the site shortly.
And Finally, Finally, they say behind every good man is a good woman and Leigh Thompson along with Paddy Gibson, you both definitely fitted into that category. Your show was run with impeccable organisation. It was evident on the day a lot of hard work and sleepless nights was put into  this now annual Show. Leigh and Paddy you pulled out all the stops on the day and produced a top class show in a top class venue. Well done and a credit to you both.
I am Looking forward to more of the same in 2026. Thank you for the memories. To we meet again God Bless.
