abarrett 462
Looks a bit Heath Robinson to me I think I would give that a miss I certainly wouldn't use it if I didn't know what it's for I bet you won't even need it with that rail and scope It almost looks like a spacer like it's been made instead of using high mounts If you give it ago let us know 1 Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
Do you think I should just use the weaver rail? Those are the smallest mounts I have but have higher mounts in my box. Thanks Quote Link to post
abarrett 462
Give the brass a miss Use the mounts that get the front of the scope closest to the barrel What size end is on the scope High mounts are usually for 50mm and above Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
40mm mate. Thanks again thats put my mind at rest. Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
Agreed it looks heath robinson, I would give that a miss pal, never seen anything quite like it! Use the weaver rail, or just get some weaver rings and bases Quote Link to post
Toni from N.Z. 2
I like the Weaver individual bases. They will probably be listed under the Interarms Mauser section. These rifles are popular Down Under and I don't hear any complaints. The seperate Weaver bases allow ejection without denting cases for reloading and allow easy access to breech and good visability for checking safety status re. empty action and chamber. The Weaver bases are economical. That brass base probably was made for some Mauser similar to your rifle when other options weren't freely available. 1 Quote Link to post
