mattydski 560
My mate got a zastava in .308, he's had no problems with it, and shoots bang on... Bought it as a stop gap and kept it... Quote Link to post
mattydski 560
Sorry, i should have mentioned, he does use homeloads... not factory ammo... Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
Cheers mate. All the info I can find are on calibres other than .22-250. Quote Link to post

shropshire dan 467
I didn't think they looked to bad to be honest lol Quote Link to post
Coypu Hunter 486
Mine's a 22LR, nice and accurate. I floated the barrel and modded the trigger to make it shoot really well, but it's bang on now. easily modifiable, which is nice. It used to be sold in the US as the Remington Model 5 22LR, which is where you might have got the idea that they're somehow related. Remington imported and rebadged them, but they still said "Zastava" on the action. Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
Thanks for the info coypo hunter appreciate it. Sounds like a decent rifle then. Atb Dan 1 Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
Sound rifle mate, I know a lad who had a .22-250 I seem to remember it being a very accurate rifle, I never shot it but he always raved about it. Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
Great news CC. Over the moon now lol Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
You wont regret the .22-250 thats for sure and they have a mini mauser action, so they dont come much better than that, buy it and enjoy Edited July 14, 2014 by charlie caller Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
Thanks alot CC. What is meant by a mauser action? I know of mauser rifles is that anything to do with it? The other thing is it says on zastava website that they have a 360mm twist rate does anyone know if that's good? Thanks all again much appreciated Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
The action is very similar to CZ which is a scaled down version of the 1898 Mauser action, still one of the strongest most reliable actions around, the twist rate will be standard 1-14 for a .22-250 designed for 50-55 grain bullets, the calibre being designed as a varmint round where velocity is everything, dont worry too much about it pal, just stick to 40-55 grain bullets, and watch crows dissolve at 400 yards Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
A bit like this Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
Fair play CC. I can't wait, would you say its best to stick to 55g to try and ease on barrel wear? Quote Link to post
