forest of dean redneck 12,023
I always have a nose at hancocks to see what he's breeding and noticed the litter of 7/8 collie 1/8 grey, now I know he's bred these to get a replacement stud, and I'm not really into the puppy farming ,too slow won't catch shit etc debates, I thought with a fair few knowledgable dog men and a few herding dog users on here I would ask, Just out of interest would there be much of an advantage of speed or a gain over a pure collie ? socks 32,253
1/8 greyhound is hardly going to be noticeable and in my opinion will bring nothing to the table ............ 3 Quote Link to post

Yet you can buy plenty collie pups for £80/100 and will be short coated long legged etc His half crosses I can understand but that litter no. Quote Link to post

VOON 1,317
The theory behind it is if you breed the 3/4 collie back to a greyhound, you get a 5/8 greyhound, which would have more pace than a than a straight 50/50 cross with more brains than a 1/4 collie. Anyone got experience of breeding this cross? Does the theory work in the real world? 1 Quote Link to post
