Themoocher 231
http://www.veooz.com/photos/QH7LrPa.html Moocher did you not see this when i posted it first time ?.......This is not people watching their liza this is bodies walking through turnstyles Its THE most popular league in the world be it in your front room or at the grounds !!..............What is your point .............yes its the richest moneywise, the most popular of something usually is ! Yeah the money for prem clubs doesn't come from turnstyles and merchandise sales f**k me how many times do I have to say it. The majority of your money comes from bskyb and tv revenues. The team getting relegated earns 70 mil from sky alone. How long would it take to make that at upton park?
TUFFTY 1,484
Have a look at the guardian on line. They have All the finance charts for top 20 clubs. There's usually 6 to 8 English clubs in the list with the others having no more than 4. So that makes premier league football clubs the highest money earners

We,re going round in circles here.......do you think Sky picked the Premier League out of a hat ?......Or do you think the fact that more people walked through turnstyles in English football grounds than any other nation on earth meant it was a sound investment........seems perfectly logical to me and we are the ones who reap the rewards....fairs fair. As mad as it is you make double the money from sky than you will tickets and merchandise. As I said before rangers and celtic will have bigger fan base outside top four and had bigger gates in past 20 years than most of English clubs.

Themoocher 231
The point I have been saying from the first line. The English clubs arent rich through die hard fans and attendences at clubs and merchandise sales. Its through sky tv revenues.

Have a look The guardian will give you a breakdown of all revenue at every club. Rangers and celtic allthough they fill there grounds every time they are nowhere near the rest of the top clubs in europe. Readit for yourself.
Themoocher 231
Before the big bucks started with sky rangers and Celtic were in the top 20 richest clubs in Europe. Since sky package fell on it's arse with jock football there's no money in it. Both clubs got 50-60k every week watching st mirren. Lol. Now tell me how many prem clubs do that every week I could guarantee both clubs have got bigger fan bases outside the top 4 clubs.

If rangers and Celtic had got into the PL 10 or 15 year ago they would be up there with biggest clubs in Europe. In the 90s and early 2000s rangers and Celtic were booming That was when it was just on pure fan base and merchandise. The boom when bust. Now cant compete. You think Celtic still don't get same attendence and sell more strips than most English clubs. Half Scotland support them and half of Ireland ffs you think Norwich and hammers have got bigger fan base
