J Darcy 5,871
What lens, what flash? The thing with true macro; a flash is very, very important IMO.

J Darcy 5,871
Well, it's better than my first attempts.. ..but if you get more serious about taking macro then the flash is real important, more so than anything else.....thats if you want nice, crisp images.... this is one of my macro shots, without flash it wouldn't have been much.....that was taken with my old sigma 150mm macro, today I use a canon 100mm and a set of twin flashes.....JD
Panna 68
....that was taken with my old sigma 150mm macro.....JD I am sure the days I will start taking macro pics will arrive in my life, so I keep my eyes open for macro lens. I as told, the these lenses around 90-105mm are all good of any party (Sigma, Tamron, Tokina, Nikon and Canon). Why did you change your Sigma to a Canon 100mm? YIS, Anna Hi Anna, the sigma was good, but the canon is just that bit sharper.......with sigma it's a bit hit and miss whether you get a good lens or not, I was lucky, but I wouldn't gamble next time. If you get a sharp lens, and a nice flash unit, off he camera, then you can get up to some pretty cool stuff.......JD
