Yeah still on for monday, bunch of eejits running it though. Gone downhill last few years if you ask me, the committee can't organise feck all!

Does anyone know if Caerphilly show is on this year ?

Next monday i think, dont know where though!

Same place etc, RAW im sure you know all about the show...last year they struggled to get two teams for the digging comp, thats usually my highlight of the show. Bunch of coc*s running the show same as the hunt. Downhill its going sad to say

Do you know if the horse riding and birds of prey are there ?

 

I think That's machen show

 

All I seem to remember is a old moldy tent that you cant even get a cup of tea in without drying the leaves yourself.

 

The trouble is............. I'll probably end up going for a look then being gutted I payed the entrance. I certainly wont take the kids not the sort of show I want them to think is a show if you get my drift.

 

I'm not big on the showing scene but have be to a few different ones here and over the border, I have be made to feel more welcome there :icon_eek: , the facilities have been pretty poor the last couple of years. lets hope for better

 

Goat......... I remember the digging comp a few years back when it was behind the garden center..................... That was a good one

They did have horses there 1ce or twice for hound parade the mrs was riding them, but never saw birds of prey? Like raw said that was probably machen later on in the year. All the same lads are going who usually go so fingers crossed it will be a good craic, but well see. Never went to the show when it was there raw apparently they were the days though, theres a pile of photos in the Mrs house of the show bck them days and it looked good and a few teams in the digging comp...

The best days of this show was at the white cross sum show it was too. Good crack an good booster after Edited by strongbow

      QUALIFIERS are available to GB SHOW ORGANISERS for the following CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS
                                                     at the IRISH GAME FAIR, Shanes Castle, Antrim on the 29/30 June.
      1. FIVE NATIONS WHIPPET CHAMPIONSHIP
      2. FIVE NATIONS LURCHER CHAMPIONSHIP
      3. FIVE NATIONS TERRIER CHAMPIONSHIPS
      4. MASTER MC GRATH LURCHER CHALLENGE  Two dogs to qualify from each show ( over and under 23")
      5. MICK THE MILLER CHALLENGE for Traditional HAIRY LURCHERS any size. Two to qualify from each show. 
      EACH CHAMPIONSHIP HAS £200 to the Winner £50 to the Runner Up plus other prizes and quality trophies.   As the 31st ANNUAL All Ireland Championships ( Showing & Racing) also take place this weekend ( which are open all ) qualifiers can have a real opportunity to compete for titles and prizes with the best of Irish dogs. 
      To recognise the additional costs of coming to the event for GB qualifiers, they get FREE tickets to the show and special ferry and accommodation rates and each GB qualifying event organiser gets £50 for their best in show winner.
