francolin 449
just had a quick count/inspection ,the first nest all 6 growing well, the second nest has 4 hatched at mo, the 3rd and last pair had 3 eggs I have removed because they would not stop building nest upon nest ,the hen has made no attempt to lay more or start to sit,for days just builds, when spare material is removed it piled on shaveings, must have a dissorder :laugh:any way new pan in today see what it thinks to that. :blink:atb.
fireman 11,465
Good to hear there doing well and you have new arrivals as well and the very best of luck with them all Fracolin,i had a greenfinch hen that did that build on top of a built layed in nest and i tried a few things to snap her out of it but in the end i had to pull the lot down pan and all and she went on to rebuild and rear a couple of chicks in the next nest.
