I am not sure that those Canons will allow you take fuzzy pics if you use the auto function so I reckon you'd be best using manual and staying just a touch off crisp with your focussing to be true to your game Paul

i have a 400d and its fuzzy controls works just fine, auto is for conformists

Depends on your priorities. If a turning screen, a better ISO, a faster FPS, a faster and more responsive autofocus, a video recording capebility is important for you... and if you would buy it new or second hand.

I had (and still in the family) the 60D, I can tell you about it.

Also a question of what you have now, what lenses you have, why you want to upgrade and how much money you will still have for more/better lenses?

Another vote for the 7D. £500 for a good second hand one, £650 from HK or just under £1k in UK. There is talk of a MKii coming out soon but that has been talk for years now and it will no doubt be twice as much.

I have had a 500D, 600D, 40D and borrowed a 60D and the 7D is superior to all of them in handling, fps and auto-focus.

Flippy screens are only there to break and are only useful for macro and video IMO.
