nothernlite 18,260
You were saying that reaper was wanting £1000 a pup think the guy lives in a dream world or hes got a bad crack habit 2 Quote Link to post
blackmaggie 3,377
cocker put a couple of pups up for 300/ 350 I think it was with one of the top pedigrees I have seen but only to homes that could do the pups justice the pups themselves were very well reared a credit to cocker but the fact the homes were more important than the price shows some still think money isn't everything 4 Quote Link to post

arcticgun 4,548
I think 350 for a bitch pup and 300 for a dog about right, maybe a touch more for very best, but ultimately its down too the owner to set a price, buyer can always walk away Quote Link to post
roybo 2,873
Why the difference in price for dog and bitch pups, I know you can have a litter but surely a 6 week old pup that should bec the furthest from anyone's mind. Incidently greyhounds tend to be more expensive for males 2 Quote Link to post
desertbred 5,490
You are right the future breeding potential means that bitches are more expensive , As for greyhound males have more time on the track as they are not in season once or twice a year. Personally I find bitches are more constant in their work ethics and they dont piss up your leg when your stood about Edited March 9, 2014 by desertbred Quote Link to post

roybo 2,873
As regards to price....that's a difficult one but market forces rule. Pay what you are prepared to pay , some will sell for what they can get. Happens in all other breeds but I think you can smell the rat in it for the money the way they talk .The genuine ones will talk about the great days they've had with there dogs, the others will talk about the breeding ,feeding costs stud fees and probably mention you breeding yours when older but it would have to be special for me to dig deep to spend more than a couple of £100. But if it's the game you are in and you match dogs for money it's up to you Quote Link to post
