secretagentmole 1,701
Yesterday I decided to go to the woods to get myself a few pigeons. Fancied some roost shooting. Well down there a couple of hours before sunset, checked the zeroing on the Super 10, got myself into a nice bit of cover when. Badda Boom! Shotgun. Then quickly Badda Boom, Badda Boom! Now my mad little friend who was wherever the hell he was obviously had a pump action shotgun with one in the breech and 2 in the magazine. Oh well, could not see them in the ditches so don't worry too much. A couple of pie fillers fly in, got a nice line on the noggin of one when, Badda Boom, Badda Boom, pause, Badda Boom. The pigeons are off and heading for the other county! Cursing I waited and one lone and large pigeon flew in and perched. I managed to get a shot off before the anti aircraft fire started again, the pie filler kissed the floor! One part of the big flock came in and once again just as I was getting ready to pull the lovely trigger on the gun, Badda Boom, Badda Boom, Badda Boom! I did swear, profusely. 4 pigeons came in, one landed in a tree that was about 20 yards down, branch 20 yards up, directly behind the tree I was hiding behind, through 2 more trees branches and was sitting nicely silhouetted. He got one as well! Pie achieved, going to pick it up, Badda Boom, Badda Boom, Badda Boom! So it continued till about 50 minutes after sun set, but never mind, managed to bag 2 nice plump pigeons, which had been stuffing their crops on rape! Quote Link to post
