bullx100% 681
The lad wasnt from wales and he done it once on a hot day and he fanged himself also he had 1 1/2 teeth so trying to hold his quarry with no teeth so thats not spewing.....was only stating what I had herd.....wasn't trying to slate the dog in any way just saying what I was told.....hence why I put " I was told"..... Only way I'd slate a dog is if I saw it spew with my own eyes.....one thing my old man tough me....believe half of what you see and less of what you hear...... Quote Link to post

pure game 7
imo i think breeding means nothing u could breed the best dogs in the country and nothing would work and breed two scabs of things and get the best dog around i seen i happen loads of times if u breed two good dogs you have a better chance of getting something out of the litter but its down to the dog in the end of the day will he do it or not i wouldent be paying big money for breeding or a pup off of some bloodline just get somthing chancy and hope for the best thats what i think anyway but everyone has there own ways Quote Link to post
lucky 578
True 2 jackers might produce something special but how often does that happen ?? If your looking to improve your chances of getting something good you have to look way beyond the sire and dam and look at the whole family. And if that line has been producing a high percentage of quality then your in with a chance. 4 Quote Link to post

spartacus 22
If my opinion line breeding ,family breeding call it what you like it's the only way to go forward breed the best to the best out of the same family to improve the family and create better dogs with more consistently good dogs out of each litter aiming for litters of all consistently dependable game working litters because basically we are breeding mongrel's .. You have to look at the whole litter because you'll only get the average of your dogs gene pool when you breed him, so if you have an average ok dog but he's bred of excellent parents and grand parents he will invariably out produce the amazing freak of a game working dog that came from a crap litter who's parents were mediocre because the ok dog is the exception in his litter where his gene pool is excellent and the great dog is the exception in his litter but his genes are crap , therefore as both dogs are the exceptions in their gene pool they will simply go back to producing the average of their gene pools . If you look at golly he was an above average dog by an above average dog that saw a huge amount of quarry much more than most and worked better than most into old age with no teeth! So yeah he had a lot of different people kennelling him and he probably did have a couple of blips or red cards on his work sheet probably not without reason but on average he was a good dog and has produced some Excellent above average dogs. 1 Quote Link to post
