It's only on migrane's but it's a start with the NHS using magnetic therapy on people..but if you read down money is mentioned as usual..

Indeed more cost effective than effective, it's been looked at see link and certainly an interesting area, very differnt from porta mags, collars etc, bit like comparing a microwave to a mobile phone.

I did a bit elsewhere following a similar link.

"This is a long way from a weak magnetic field in a box and even more so than an isolated magnet in a collar, see link

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transcranial_magnetic_stimulation bit like comparing sitting next to an aspirin against taking one. Plus treating a migraine is very different then recovery from injury, fatigue etc. I've said before there are likely many uses for field technologies but these are completely different from simple magnets in bracelets etc.

Even if you had the right equipment you would need to consider.

One, with migraines normal non steroidal anti inflammatory meds are commonly much more effective than TMS.

Two, if these fail the next most effective would be triptans, which work by acting on chemical in the brain much as the TMS. Only then would you fall back on less effective treatments such as TMS.

Lastly and most importantly TMS and the triptam medications have a similar effect but would anyone suggest taking an anti migraine tablet for a dog with a wound, fatigue etc ??? No so why would people want to use TMS type treatments in such circumstances…???????

Now if your dog gets a headache and the first two steps fail then?????????

Regards sandy"
