Ideation 8,217
Dog got a slice between the pads, underside of foot. Fairly deep, but walking on it. Super glue and a few days off? Or just leave to heal naturally?

But to add clean with Hibiscrub and take an antibiotic (best is Cefolaxin) split the capsule and sprinkle the powder into the wound and repeat twice a day until you are happy mate
fitchet 788
Mine pickup these sorts of injury habit as where I walk them is flinty as feck I just flush it out with salt water and a syringe every few hours and leave it to heal a friend puts honey on these sorts of cuts but mine would just lick it off anyway. Hope the dog makes a quick recovery.
Ideation 8,217
Yer, the dogs licked it well clean, and then I flushed it out, and puffed antiseptic wound powder in, and wrapped a bit of vet wrap over it temporarily, just so he didn't lick the wound powder. I'll keep it clean and hopefully he will be running again soon. He ran on it today, before I noticed. . . .

fitchet 788
Sounds like youve got it spot on Main thing to watch is that it doesn't keep reopening when it runs I'd rather give a dog that extra week or two to make sure the cut is well healed up and it can handle abit of stick then run the dog too early and be back to square one.atb Edited January 4, 2014 by fitchet

paulus 26
they take time to healas they have to heal from the inside out, just keep it as clean as you can but that's not an easy thing to do, if its kennelled watch the dilution of the stuff you swill the run down with as it will sting a tad
