cracking looking dog pal :thumbs: what x pal?? 1/2? 3/4?

1/2 1/2 dam was saluki and sire was mike brown whippetHe is 24 1/2 tts

i take it u meant cross ? and if i hadnt of posted the pics the thread would be empty and u wouldnt of been able to waste a min of ur life by posting that comment so u should be greatful sum 1 has put something on here

Saluki x Whippet makes a nice combo - i would want a dash of collie blood in the whippet otherwise you could end up with too much sight and not enough brain.

I Wouldn't want it smarter than me :laugh:

 

I think you'd be pretty safe with that amount of saluki in it lol. On a serious note though, and I know it's not what you specifically asked, but I had a lurcher bitch about 30 years ago with only a small amount of saluki in both parents, and she ended up very saluki like, never again, definitely not my type of dog :no:

I had a saluki/grey/whippet as my first Lurcher ,and yes it was a headache.

 

But like the look of the saluki whippet x more than a saluki grey type. :)

Someone posted not long back with a pic of a red and white dog next to a white gate,, that I think was a suluki x whippet, that looked a very nice dog. It certainly looked a very nice, agile and capable type :thumbs:

Just checked back, it was in the 'aggressive saluki' thread, 3/4 saluki 1/4 whippet :thumbs:

a good many years back my son in law bred his whippet bitch with a saluki x whippet the pups were real classy and didnt lack wind running regular on the fen and the bitch he kept back is still alive now and in her younger days would catch 3 daytime quite regular .and one of the other bitches ended up a top lamp bitch and would run all night .
