Passionate~Hunter 9
Stunning mate. Does it work with the ferrets well? Some of the forums I have been reading say they are a little hard to train? Quote Link to post
Cleanspade 3,324
she works with ferrets the lurcher. the gun. she works cover and works to ground. allthough is on the big side for earth work.. she is a good dog for me to be honest. and would have another from similar lines in a heartbeat. google the working plummer terrier. or search on facebook and you will find plenty of info on most lines of plummers. do your homework and if the breed suites you pick carefully of working lines. 1 Quote Link to post

Passionate~Hunter 9
Thanks mate. I must of gone through hundreds of pages of info about them so far and they definitely seem like they will fit my needs because to be honest I will be doing next to no work under ground. I mainly want one with a good nose to mark rabbit warrens and save me a little time when out in the field so I don't work empty warrens/ a bit of ratting. I am still a little unclear of what each line would bring to the table to be honest. Any info/advice on the lines that might suit me better? Some of the forums I have been reading say they are a little hard to train? This one was ok while working with ferrets,no nose down the hole all the time and just held a rabbit in a net rather than tried to smash it like most terriers do. Bit of time and effort and it isn't that hard to have a team that you can trust with each other. 7 Quote Link to post

Britishbull24 131
If your only bushing and rabbiting mate I'd say a Plummer from any kennels will suit you. But look for a line with decent size. As you don't want to be digging your dog out of rabbit warrens. 1 Quote Link to post
