We have both, yet we use the peips box more often. Maybe old habits and all that, in my eyes the red one I wouldn't look as an upgrade it's like a brick but let's face it your not going to be jumping all over the receiver or hitting it with spades or shovels unless your in a real frenzy to get your dog out before it walks, or your just a threw aw mental case that hasn't a clue. The noise off the peips was designed for a reason and it works well IMO. Your hardly going to keep juking at a box every few minutes when your on the way down a good depth to a terrier . With the peips you don't need to do that.
