NATACC 18
A bit of a thought .... you have a lurcher it gets attacked off another dog how would expect it to react??? Now .. say you had a bull cross lurcher and that gets attacked .. how would you expect that to react ?? .... the first part is aimed at most lurcher crosses obviously the second part is aimed at bull crosses Quote Link to post
Westy76 546
Why would you ask? I'll give you my 2p worth though,I have a brace of bull x dogs one is very submissive to other dogs the other would happily mix it BUT neither would be in that situation as there rarely of lead around joe publics dogs so it's my job to deal with nuisance mutts as dog aggression isn't tolerated in my pack or with any of my hunting a pals dogs. 2 Quote Link to post

buster gonads 862
A lot of years ago i ran a collie X gh that was cacky with other dogs, i said to the wife [ that dog will flip on somthing one day] and it did, a big Lab got my beddy pinned against the bottom of the garden gate and was giving it a hard time, i stuck the boot in but it didnt release it, hearing the fight the collie cross shot round from the back of the house and gave the lab the biggest good hideing iv seen a dog take, [ it never passed our house again] you have to remember that most working dogs a very fit unlike a street cur and will give most a hard time if pushed, atb, buster. BIGLURKS 874
Can't answer what the dog is going too do cos all dogs are different but once a dog has been attacked they certanley can change their attitude towards other dogs had a lab attacked bye someone's Akita that dog was never the same round any other strange dogs unless it knew them before the attack hackles up constant around strange dogs and when it happend he just lay on the floor taking the raggin it was giving him now if you seen him you would think he is a deranged killer but its funny how some dogs will change cos a lurcher I've got here who grew up with this lab till he was a year old took on a lot of bad points of him he will not tolerate a dog running up too him and will go straight into protective mode but is very balanced with a group of dogs if we are hunting the mind of dogs is very straight forward but they do look too you the person that is meant too be the leader too protect them some are bold and some are submissive Quote Link to post
stabba 10,745
Difference from a bullx that is used for hard work and a street cur is this..the bullx knows and wants to kill and has the nous the do it. 99% of all fights are for show and dominancy only. Very rarely will a fight go all the way unless unsupervised for a good length of time. 1 Quote Link to post
NATACC 18
True I dont tolerate dog aggression in any shape or form from my dogs or other peoples but I do expect a dog to defend itself until I get there and yes I do try to break the aggressive dog in half [BANNED TEXT] I get hold of it Quote Link to post
