Eye Trouble...?

Recommended Posts

Next doors two hob ferrets eyes have gone a silvery white in the middle (pupil) it has appeared today. They called me in to look just now and I've never seen anything like it before. They look like Vin Diesel as 'Riddick'.

Both ferrets are kept immaculate, fed on the same chicken mince as the dogs as well as complete ferret food, they are just about the most well looked after pugs i've ever seen.

If I'm honest, both look like they've gone blind and seem agitated from their usual docile state. Next door assure me nothing has changed from what they normally do, bedding, shavings, food, water etc.

Anyone got any ideas..???

I had one go like that once, he started to loose condition and eventually I had to take him to the vets to have him PTS.The vet told me that's its an early indicator of a more serious problem. It might not be the same thing but its something to remember

as both have the same symptoms it would rule out most conditions, i would say more likely an infection the same as when dogs get cloudy eye,
