ok, theirs 2 decent 'earths' near my permission, but the farmer of my permission says rspca visit it quite a lot. he says they have fitted some sort of sensor mechanism when the earth is hit with an impact like a spade, it triggers an alarm. i've heard of them from other people too. anyone else? its a cracking spot

Take a ferret and spade up and work the ground over , and see what happens

If you've permission and stay within the law ,what's the problem ?

If it's a badger sett have the RSPCA broke the law by interference ?

 

There was a successful prosecution several years ago here in Ireland where a similar device was used.

It only made the news because the person prosecuted was a well known sports personality.

Take metal detector. Run it over the area. If you find them remove them. You have wriiten written permission to go there with a metal detector DONT YOU !!!!! You found them if they have no form of identerty there yours. !!!!!

cant mess with a so called sett though. i turned up to it one day and it had 4 white sticks stood up in the ground around it?

i know of a big badger sett in a reserve area and if you go near it within half hr theres a chopper above not just me its happend to a few local lads aswell so just watch out and anything is possible.
