DenBell 149 Posted September 22, 2013 Report Share Posted September 22, 2013 Before you read on and expect a ton of shot rabbits i only got two but i saw more then thirty, the place was heaving!!! i had two hours before i had to pick my wife up from her mothers so i went to my little permission in corbridge and from the minute i got there i saw rabbit after rabbit but getting close enough was proving difficult. I saw four run into a burrow so i lay down in a comfy spot under a tree to see if they would come back out. only had to wait ten minutes and two of them broke the tree line opposite me about 40 yrds away slight breeze left to right which i took into consideration and pulled the trigger, went down like a sack of tatties! next i headed into the horse field and saw a little-ish one just coming out of a burrow and follow the dry stone wall up the hill so like a ninja i took off after it staying parallel with it about 20 yrds away using a sparse row of trees for cover. the rabbit stopped and looked straight at me so i slowly raised the rifle and took a standing shot. another one for the bag and 15 minutes late to pick the wife but one hell of a night so it was well worth it!! 1 Quote Link to post

Took off near 300 over a couple of weeks lamping ( shooting) and trapping. The jobs still ongoing. Get yourself fit up and make sure the freezer is empty!! Quote Link to post
