Flea Treatment

Recommended Posts

apart from ticks, you shouldn't have problems with fleas, yes they may pick up the odd rabbit flea, but they cant survive or breed on ferts, if anything a quick spray with any cat flea spray after ferreting should keep them in good steed

iv just had a big flea problem, with the ferrets/dog and in the house, i used flea bombs in the house, frontline on the dog, then had to get the ferrets in theyr run in the garden, and used johnsons insectacidal powder for small animals, insectacides, - fleas will jump off the ferret straight away , itll kill them otherwise,i scrubed theyr cage and surroundings ect, it was a big job, but a job done well as iv got it under control now, and the misses isnt having a go every hour lol, iv used that spot on a few times even on the dog and ferrets all it does is detear them,i didnt find it worked at all, the insectacidal powder is only £2.15 once applied i put an old furry hat thing i had lying about in the run in the garden with them , then checked the ferrets a little while later, most were gone but some still there so re done them with the powder and an hour later litrally no fleas at all, i kept checking them over the days i found the odd stragaler but got rid of those, and now am flea free ! hope this helps, everyone has theyr own way of doing it but this is what did it for me!
